FAQ

Is your agency licensed?

Yes, we operate under the requirements of the law and are appropriately licensed based on the State of Arizona and local regulations.

Does Long-Term Care Insurance cover the cost of home care?

Some long-term care insurance policies cover certain in-home care services.  We work with many long-term care (LTC) insurance companies to bring you the covered services you need over the short or long term.

Are your caregivers insured and bonded?

Yes, ADL Homecare caregivers are bonded, licensed and insured.

Why would I hire an ADL Homecare caregiver versus a private duty caregiver?

  • If you hire privately you are responsible for all state & federal payroll taxes.
  • If you don't obtain workers compensation insurance on your private duty caregiver you could be found responsible for any injuries that occur in your home. Do you have insurance or the funds to compensate filed claims?
  • Do you have a backup replacement caregiver in the event your caregiver doesn't show up? Who will stay home and take care of your loved one if the caregiver doesn't show up? Can the individual receiving care be left alone without care?
  • Is the private duty caregiver bonded against theft, criminal background checked, and CPR/First Aid certified?
  • Do they have any supervision to make sure your loved one is getting the best possible care?

There are too many potentially unsafe concerns when hiring privately. ADL Homecare does not recommend this option.

Will I be able to reach a caregiver after hours? If so, how can I contact someone after hours?

We maintain on-call access to staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If a caregiver fails to show due to illness or an emergency, our on-call staff will assist you in providing care coverage. Please call our office at 480-692-7700.
